From my earliest memories I was making and creating.  I loved losing myself in the activity of my hands.  Majoring in Art and Psychology, at Regis College (B.A.), plus becoming Certified in Art Therapy at Lesley College, strengthened my belief that the process of making art is as important as the result.

My focus is dyeing silk in rich bold colors and the meditative rituals of measuring, cutting, ironing and sewing. I love simplicity and repetition, and find beauty in small details and fine craftsmanship. My silk scarves and pouches are a luxury for everyday use. The framed silk art quilts are quiet reflections of my thoughts and memories.

Sharing my lifelong love for art and making things has always been important to me. I taught for 15 years at deCordova Museum School in Lincoln MA and another 12 years at Silk & Clay Studio. Currently, I am teaching at Danforth Art School in Framingham, MA.
